On December 22, 2017 the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was signed into law and represents the largest change to tax law since the Tax Reform Act of 1986. The bill was highly touted as a major reform to the Internal Revenue Code and provided for a significant reduction in tax rates for business and individuals and promised simplification of return preparation for individuals. The law has important changes that impact businesses and their owners. Now, a little over a year later, we have started another tax filing season and there are lots of questions.
